ACTIONS AND VOICES COMMITTEE
The Actions and Voices committee is the newest committee of STAI, which was founded through merging previous Actions That Matter and Symposium Committees. The new committee aims to organize various action-oriented and practical human rights events through hands-on activism and using our voices.
These events are very diverse, thus allowing members a lot of space to be creative and innovative with their ideas and human rights topics they are passionate about. The committee participates in events like the annual and national Write for Rights campaign, clothing and book swaps, discussion nights, symposia, and many more.
ARTS AND CULTURE COMMITTEE
This Committee aims to connect activism and any form of expression brought up through art and cultural movements (artivism). Here, there are no limits, we use all elements of creativity, imagination, and critical thinking to deliver social justice.
The Arts and Culture Committee has organized events and initiatives like creative evenings, human rights movie marathons, a poetry slam against gender-based violence, and various creative workshops with skilled and creative experts. One of the biggest events organized by the Arts and Culture Committee is the annual Benefit Concert which always brings art, human rights, and our community closer.
